In keeping with our Parish Mission Statement, St. Landry actively participates in several “Community Outreach Initiatives”…
Lay volunteers who are active in our “Homebound” ministry visit those of our community who are unable to join us for Mass on a regular basis. These extraordinary ministers distribute Holy Communion to those who are not able to join in the celebration of weekly Mass.
Our parish proudly supports “The New Life Center” home for women and children, “The Lighthouse Mission” for homeless men, and ICONS Food Bank….
We are also one of the five “owner parishes” of Opelousas Catholic School.
Communion is distributed weekly to the residents of Heritage Manor Nursing Facility by volunteers.
